Do you have crooked or crowded teeth? Do you worry that you are too old for braces? Orthodontic treatment is not just for children and teenagers. More and more adults are getting braces in Modesto, California.
At Champion Orthodontics, we recognize that our patients have different preferences. Some prefer the traditional route of straightening the teeth while others wish for a more cosmetic solution. Because of this, we offer several straightening options.
Traditional Braces
These braces use metal brackets and wires to gently apply pressure to your teeth and move them over time. The brackets are attached to the front of the teeth and connected with a wire. The wire is tightened every four to six weeks to slowly move the teeth, jaw, or both into place.
Ceramic Braces
If the idea of wearing metal brackets isn’t appealing, consider ceramic braces. The brackets are the same color as your teeth, so they are much harder to see. This option usually costs more than traditional braces.
Clear Aligners
If you would like to skip brackets and wires altogether, ask Dr. Joti Kaler about clear aligners. Most people will not realize that you are straightening your teeth. These plastic trays fit over the teeth and they can be taken out when you eat, brush, and floss.
